Baptisms – August 27, 2023

Below are the testimonies for those who were baptized on Sunday, August 27, 2023. We celebrate with them as they take this step in their journey with Christ.

Audrey Pedersen

My name is Audrey Pedersen and I’m a 3rd grader at Shalom Christian Academy. I live in a Christian home. One day I remember asking my mom to pray with me to become a Christian. I want to go to heaven and have Jesus in my heart. I pray to him every night and now I’m not as scared anymore. I want to get baptized today because I want to show people that I believe in Jesus and I want to go to heaven.

Elise Pedersen

My name is Elise Pedersen and I’m a 2nd grader at Shalom Christian Academy. I come from a Christian home. One day I remember asking my mom to pray with me to become a Christian so I can go to heaven and see Jesus. Now, I read my devotions, sing songs, and pray. It makes me feel confident. I want to get baptized today because I know Jesus washed away my sins and I believe in Jesus.

Westin Pedersen

My name is Westin Pedersen and I’m a 9th grader at Shalom Christian Academy. I was raised in a Christian home. I realized I needed Jesus when our family was at the dinner table at age 7 or 8. When I was that young, I understood enough that I needed to be a Christian to be with Jesus and to live a Godly life. That night at the dinner table is how I asked Jesus to be my Savior. I trust Jesus to give me guidance throughout my life. When I was little, I lost some family that was very close to me and Jesus is helping me with that. Since I have come to Christ, I have not only been focused on me but on family and friends. Being baptized has been on my mind for a little while, but I never did it because I didn’t want to get up in front of everyone. I want to get baptized today so I can take my next steps in following Jesus.
