We have a very busy women’s ministry at King Street called LIFT (Living in Faith and Truth.)
The ladies enjoy weekday Bible studies, Saturday morning videos, Craft Nights, and events like the popular “Festival of Tables.”
DID YOU MISS THE PRISCILLA SHIRER SIMULCAST? Join us on Saturday, May 4 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm for a re-showing of Priscilla’s teaching. Light refreshments will be available in the morning; bring a bag lunch if you so wish. We will meet in the Fellowship Room. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from one of the most powerful women in the church today.
CREATIVE OASIS – This recurring event allows women to express their creativity and enjoy fellowship with other women, while serving others. We will have supplies and instruction on making cards which will be given to our Widow’s Ministry. There is no charge. Bring a friend and a snack to share! RSVP Mary Armstrong at (717) 729-2835.
SUNDAY MORNING CLASS
In addition to a variety of adult classes offered at both 9:30 and 11:00 each week (find info here), our Women’s Ministry offers a special class just for ladies.
FRIENDS IN FAITH – Women’s Sunday Class | Led by Deb MacAskill | Room M1 | 11:00-12:00 | The Friends in Faith class is held in a small group setting. New members and visitors are always welcome!
WOMEN OF WORTH:
This ministry provides opportunities for fellowship to our widows. They also provide connections to our Men to Mend teams, who make small home repairs and safety checks. Contact the church office for more information.
MORNING BIBLE STUDY CLASSES
- LADIES’ WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY | Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am in room M9 | “Jesus Among Secular Gods” by Ravi Zacharius and Vince Vitale: As belief in the secular gods of atheism, hedonism, relativism, and humanism continues to grow, it’s more important than ever for believers to be able to defend and share the claims of Christ. Of course, this clash of worldviews is nothing new. Throughout Paul’s writing in the New Testament are references to elemental forces that seek to separate believers from the love and truth of Jesus. This study helps seekers explore the claims of Christ and provides Christians with the knowledge to articulate their faith that Jesus stands tall above all other gods.
- EARLY MORNING LADIES’ BIBLE STUDY | Every other Thursday morning from 6:30-7:30 am in room M9 | “The Battle Plan for Prayer: from Basic Training to Targeted Strategies” by Stephen and Alex Kendrick: This study was inspired by the Kendrick brothers’ hit movie War Room. “Readers will be guided scripturally through the fundamentals of how effective prayer works, inspired towards a closer, more intimate relationship with God, and shown how to develop specific prayer strategies for each area of life.” Learn more.
MOM2MOM SUPPORT GROUP
Mom2Mom meets every other Thursday during the school year. | Room M28 | 9:30-11:00 am | It is a place where moms of babies through early elementary ages can make new friends, share experiences, and learn practical Biblical principles. Their time begins in a large group setting and then they break into smaller groups for a more personal time of discussion and interaction. Childcare is provided during meetings. Throughout the year, they also meet for a variety of special events and social activities. If you are interested in joining, contact Erin Peterson at 717-491-2589 or [email protected] for details. Our Mission: Mom2Mom exists to encourage, support and serve each other in the God-given task of raising our children according to Biblical principles.
