The Senior Adult Ministry program at King Street Church, known as The PrimeTimers, is a vital part of our church with new and expanding opportunities for involvement. This growing ministry provides Christ-centered activities addressing the spiritual, social, physical and educational needs of men and women in the “second half of life.” However, anyone twenty one years of age is welcome to participate. This rapidly growing segment of our church family includes retirees, grandparents, people with adult children, couples, singles and widow/widowers, all of whom desire to be productive servants of Christ.

Welcome back PrimeTimers — and welcome to new friends who would like to join us! Prime Timers was started as a Senior Citizen group by George and Peg Herbert, but all adults are welcome! In the past, we have had activities such as day and overnight trips, dinners and other meals, holiday events and more. This is an informal group with no membership required.

It may not look exactly as it did before Covid, but we are planning activities periodically in the coming year. We had a great time at our September Picnic, in spite of the rain. Several folks gave us ideas for activities that they would like
to attend. All were in agreement to having inside activities as much as possible during the winter months

Drivers Needed

There is a need for a driver(s) with a CDL license, and a passenger permit to occasionally drive the KSC Mini-bus. We also could use additional drivers for the
regular church van (no CDL required). If you can help in either of these ways, email

“The PrimeTimer organization has been a wonderful ministry for our church. For Joyce and me, as for others over the age of 50 years old, it has been a group for getting acquainted with others. The activities are all well planned for fun, fellowship, and friendship – and very informative.” ~Clint

“Fun trips and good fellowship; I get to do things I didn’t know about and learn new things.” ~Pat

“I’m able to travel and have fellowship with other Christians, and make new friends.” ~Ethel
