Pastor Aaron Perry
Galatians: No Other Gospel!
Experience & Encounter
These questions are an invitation to experience your life with God. Use them on your own or in community as you seek to follow Jesus.
-
Jesus does not change the heart and mind of the Father; Jesus reveals the will of the Father. Why is it important to be reminded of the unity in God for the purposes of our salvation?
-
The Gospel of Jesus Christ comes with new roles, responsibilities, relationships, and a new reign/rule. Which of these is most important for your faith at this time? Is there a task to be done, problem to be solved, or person to connect with because of the Gospel?
-
This weekend, the United States of America is celebrating its 250th birthday. We give thanks to God for consistent government, biblical civic principles, and peaceful order. Pastor Aaron’s challenge: Write and email your “Top 10 Gratitude List” to Pastor Aaron and include your personal salvation, if you have received Jesus Christ as Lord of your life.

Today! VBS Missions
Our VBS offering is helping support United Brethren missionaries as they share the gospel around the world. In the Rotz lobby today (side of the Sanctuary), you’ll find canvas artwork created by our VBS children available for a donation. Each piece is labeled with the child’s first name. By taking home a canvas, you’ll not only help send missionaries, but also be encouraged to pray for that child throughout the coming year. Thank you for partnering with us to share the love of Christ both near and far.
Pray for Chambersburg Project
Chambersburg Project 2026 begins today! This week a team of our students and adults are helping to renovate and repair homes for residents of Franklin Country with physical/financial limitations. Please pray for safety and strength, and that God would be glorified as they serve our community.
Prayer Opportunities
- Our Prayer Ministry meets on the first and third Sundays of each month, including TODAY from 9:30–10:45 am. Missy Ardinger leads in prayer for our services, church family, nation, and world. Everyone is welcome to join—whether to pray aloud, share requests, or sit quietly in God’s presence.
- Prayer Group: “If My People Pray” is a group that seeks the heart of God on behalf of our church, state, country, and world. They meet on the first Monday of the month — including tomorrow, July 6 — from 7-8:00 pm in Room M21.
- Ladies Prayer & Fellowship: Ladies (age 16+), join us for an hour of prayer and fellowship this Thursday, July 9, from 6:00–7:00 pm in the Middle School Room (M16). We’ll spend time in prayer, worship, and a brief devotional as women of all generations encourage one another in Christ.
Women of Worth Picnic
All widows are warmly invited to join us for our annual Women of Worth Picnic on Thursday, July 17, at 11:30 am at Greene Township Park. Come enjoy a delicious meal, friendship, and encouragement in a relaxed outdoor setting. Please RSVP to Darlene Gontz by July 10 at (717) 860-5591 or email her.
Meal Team Helpers Needed
We’re looking for volunteers to help serve on our Wednesday night meal team! We currently need two head chefs (serving one Wednesday each month) as well as additional kitchen helpers. As a head chef, you’ll oversee the meal for your assigned week. Menus can be planned for you, and you’re welcome to prepare the same meal each month if you prefer. This is a wonderful opportunity to invest in the students of King Street Church. Our youth truly appreciate gathering around a hot meal each week, and the fellowship it provides is an important part of their Wednesday evenings. If you’re interested or would like more details, please contact Lauren Zook.
Dinner & A Show with the PrimeTimers
Join the PrimeTimers for a day in Lancaster County on Wednesday, August 12, as we enjoy Dear Soldier Boy at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant and Stage. This heartwarming musical comedy tells the story of an Amish girl whose letters to U.S. troops lead to unexpected adventures, laughter, and patriotic inspiration. The $110 fee includes transportation by Paylor Transport, lunch, gratuities, and the performance. We will depart promptly at 8:30 am from Weis Market on Wayne Avenue. Final payment and registration are due by July 6.
Children’s Musical
The first practice for The Bible Tells Me So Show! will be held next Sunday morning July 12, from 11:00 – 12:00 in the Music Room (M7), located directly under the sanctuary. Parents are welcome to stay for part or all of the practice time. We thank those who have signed up, and welcome all who haven’t, to come see what the excitement is all about! This musical includes singing, movement, dancing, and speaking parts. The format is a TV game show, where all the questions and answers come from the Bible. Lifelong skills and biblical truths will be learned in a truly fun and joyful way. It is a real opportunity to serve God and shine for Jesus. For details or to get involved, text Liz Brown at (717) 816-1368 or email her.
Farewell to Pastor Rob
Pastor Rob Gunkelman, Pastor of Student Ministries, has resigned from King Street Church to accept the call to serve as Senior Pastor of Otterbein UB Church. We give thanks to God for Pastor Rob’s significant ministry impact and pray God’s blessing upon him and Krystal as they embrace this new season of ministry. Join us for a Farewell Reception on Sunday, July 19, after each worship service in Team Central. A basket for cards will be available. We hope you will take time to express your appreciation to Pastor Rob and pray for his family during this season of transition.
College Grants
King Street’s Student Grant Program provides a grant to members/regular attenders who are enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program. We are accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year; download the application here and submit it before the deadline of July 12.
RESET
RESET meets on Monday nights at 6:30 pm in the Student Ministry Center. This is a place where you can be real, be authentic, and find community for growing in Christ. If you are feeling stuck in your spiritual journey, RESET is a powerful avenue of discipleship. Come and see!
- Help Needed: We are looking for childcare workers to serve during RESET on Monday evenings. Volunteers work alongside a partner to care for 6–8 children for about two hours, helping create a safe and welcoming space for families. This support is a vital way to serve, making it possible for parents to attend RESET and grow in their faith. Reach out to Susanna if you can help.

We believe that God works powerfully through prayer!

On the first and third Sundays of each month, Missy Ardinger will host a dedicated time of prayer for our church, community, nation and world. Everyone is welcome — whether you’d like to pray aloud, share requests, or simply sit quietly in God’s presence.

Men’s Alliance Tribe
The KSC Men’s Alliance tribe, led by Justin Shirk, is a weekly gathering where men are strengthened through real brotherhood, biblical truth, and physical challenge. They meet each Saturday at 8:00 am behind the KSC Ministry Center for a 30 minute workout and devotional around a fire. Come build friendships, be encouraged, and take a step toward deeper spiritual growth.
Adult Sunday School
Sunday School classes are a place where adults can plug-in, make friends, become accountable, and share life with others. Classes serve as mini congregations that support missionaries, engage in ministries, and fellowship outside of class. We also offer Bible Studies for both men and women. See a list of adult Sunday School classes and links to the pages for men/women HERE.
Chronological Bible Reading Plan
We encourage everyone to read the Bible daily, and one way we support that is through our annual Bible Reading Plan. In 2026, are using a Chronological Plan with The Bible Recap videos. The plan is available in multiple formats.
If you have never participated in the plan, we encourage you to join the more than 400 people who use these readings as part of their daily devotions. The plan is offered several ways. Those who are already signed up will be included in the new plan.
