Lenten Prayer Service: SILENCE & SOLITUDE
On Wednesday, March 19, we gathered in the Sanctuary for our second Lenten Prayer Service. Pastor Steve Flint led a short study on the spiritual practice of Silence & Solitude.
“In a noise-polluted world, it is even difficult to hear ourselves think let alone try to be still and know God. Yet it seems essential for our spiritual life to seek some silence, no matter how busy we may be. Silence is not to be shunned as empty space, but to be befriended as fertile ground for intimacy with God.”

Pastor Jay Brown then shared information on The Persecuted Church for our prayer time. He advised us to pray for those suffering for the cause of Christ in these ways:
-
- For perseverance
- That they would sense God’s presence
- For physical needs like food and shelter
- For protection
- Bibles
- For the courage to continue sharing the Gospel
