Below are the testimonies for those who are being baptized on Sunday, May 19, 2024. We celebrate with them as they take this step in their journey with Christ.

Layla Adams

Hello, my name is Layla Adams. I’m in first grade at Shalom Christian Academy. Before I accepted Jesus into my heart I was making some bad decisions and not listening to my mom a little and it made me feel sad. I accepted Jesus into my heart this year on March 21 with my mom beside me in my bedroom because I wanted Him to help me make the right decisions and so He would be with me all the time and to have a forever home in heaven with Him for infinity. Today I’m really excited to get baptized to show everyone how much I love God.

Jaden Davis

Hi, my name is Jaden Davis and I’m 17 years old. I’m a Junior at CMS and Career Tech.  I grew up in a Christian home and my parents have always had me involved in church through Sunday school, VBS, youth group or serving in some way.  I remember when I was younger, telling my mom that I wanted to ask Jesus to forgive my sins and to pray with me.

This year, at Winter Slam, Pastor Rob asked if anyone wanted to be baptized and I decided that it was time for me to take that next step.

I want to be baptized today to show others that I want to follow Jesus.

Jaxen Davis

Hi, my name is Jaxen Davis and I’m 13 years old.  I’m in 7th grade at Shalom Christian Academy. I grew up in a Christian home and remember asking Jesus into my heart when I was 5 years old.

I decided to be baptized after attending Winter Slam this year.

I want to be baptized today because I want to show others that I’m a follower of God.
