These questions are an invitation to experience your life with God. Use them on your own or in community as you seek to follow Jesus.
- Look up Colossians 3:1-17. Have you ever noticed the ascension language in this passage? How might “looking up” at the ascended Jesus help to set your heart on things above?
- Look up Hebrews 1:1-4. Reflect on how Christ, our high priest, has purified our sins from his perspective. Does knowing our sins have been forgiven empower you to forgive others? How might “looking up” at the ascended Jesus encourage and empower us to forgive others who have wronged us?
- While Christ can feel absent, Paul claims that nothing can separate us from Christ’s love. Have you ever had someone “take your side” in a conflict? How does it feel to know that Christ is your intercessor who is at God’s right hand (Romans 8:34)?
