Back to Biblical Basics: Saving
Experience & Encounter
These questions are an invitation to experience your life with God. Use them on your own or in community as you seek to follow Jesus.
- Saving done poorly is being a miser; saving done poorly is also being a spendthrift. What do you think of saving as a middle way?
- Are you more likely to be a miser or to be a spendthrift? Why do you think that is the case? What is one application point from the sermon that may help you provide a balance?
- The Father’s generosity is most clearly seen in the giving of the Son in Jesus Christ. As Christ has been sent, so is He sending you. Being generous may not mean you need to give more. You, yourself, are a gift to others. Your whole life—your words, your attitude, your resources—is a generous gift from God. Do you see your life in this way? Why or why not?
