Baij Garcia

My name is Baij. I’m seven years old and I want to be baptized because I love Jesus and I believe he’s my Savior. I realized this in Sunday School with Mrs. Becky Sullivan. I’m glad He made me and made me how I am.

Isla Hershey

I’m Isla Hershey. I’m in 2nd grade at Cumberland Valley Christian School. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was in Kindergarten with my teacher. I want to be baptized today because I love God and trust Him with all my heart and I want to serve Him.

Isaac Mummert

My name is Isaac Mummert and I am 13 years old. I am in 7th grade at Shalom Christian Academy. I was born and raised in a Christian household. I accepted Jesus when I was 5 at VBS. I felt God leading me to repent and accept Him into my heart. I want to get baptized today as a step of obedience and to show everyone that I love God.

Waylon Hubers

My name is Waylon Hubers and I am in the 7th grade and attend Shalom Christian Academy. I accepted Jesus into my heart near 7 but tried to at 5, but I didn’t quite understand it. I was in first grade and my teacher was talking about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and I felt like I had to give back to him and believe and trust that he was the true Savior of the world. I want to get baptized today to show people that He is the True Savior and He died for my sins and everyone else’s.

Matthew Davis

My name is Matthew Davis and I am 12 years old. I attend Shalom Christian Academy and I am finishing 7th grade. I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was 5 years old. I go to Tri State Fellowship Church on Sundays and on Wednesdays, I go to King Street Church. I am getting baptized so I can have a better walk with Jesus spiritually.

Jack Myers

My name is Jack Myers, I am 12 years old and I go to SCA. I grew up in a Christian household. My mom would tell me stories about how she lived and worked with God in Cambodia and she also told stories about how my Uncle Mark worked all around the world as a missionary and how he saw dead people raised from the grave and how he ate poison and survived. And the people that poisoned him became Christians.

Before I became a Christian I was scared to meet and greet people and I was really afraid of the dark. When I was 5 years old, we were sleeping and my brother was behind me in his bed, and I woke up and I saw Jesus in front of me. When the doors opened, He was standing right there. From then on, I felt peace in my life.

I want to get baptized today to show the world that I have surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.

Ellie Doody

My name is Ellie and I am an 8th grader at Shalom Christian Academy. I got saved when I was 7 years old. I grew up in a Christian household and my desire to become baptized was about a year ago when I lost my Aunt and Grandmother in the same year. They were some of the most faithful and influential people in my life. Losing them took a big toll on me, but also showed me that no matter how hard things get and who you lose in this life, God will never leave and he made it possible for you to see them again.

Arrabella Rife

Hi, my name is Arrabella Rife. I am a 6th grader at CAMS North. Though I attended Shalom Christian Academy from Kindergarten through 3rd grade. I received Jesus when I was in 3rd grade. In Bible class we had talked about Satan and Jesus and I almost felt like I was picking sides. Jesus felt like the ultimate better option. Once we split up for silent Bible time, for whatever reason I decided to read Psalm 91. If you’ve ever read it, it talks about how Jesus is our refuge and how he will protect us from the evil one. I had hit the Jackpot! I immediately started praying to God for protection and committed myself to him.

After I was saved, everything didn’t automatically switch. One difference I began to notice was instead of praying my mom would stop talking about Jesus, I actually wanted to hear what she said. I felt like I actually was starting a relationship. For years, God was someone I prayed to, but he wasn’t real. The first time I truly felt he was there was at Rhodes Grove summer camp. I was battling with all these doubts, but camp helped me find peace. I can now confidently say that I am way closer to God.

I want to be baptized today as a declaration of my faith. I want to start a new chapter, with Jesus first.

Hudson Sites

I’m Hudson Sites and in 8th at CAMS South.  I live in a Christian home and grew up in the church.  I heard all the stories  about Jesus, but didn’t really know how to have a relationship with him. When I was in 2nd grade I asked Mom if I could pray to accept Jesus into my heart and have this relationship with Him and I did.  Since then I have been more interested in going to church, youth group, and attending Rhodes Grove Camp every Summer.  I am excited to see where the Lord leads me while in High School and continue to make choices that honor Him.  I want to get baptized today to show Him & others that I am a child of God and want to serve Him.

Harper Sites

My name is Harper Sites and I’m in 4th grade at Falling Spring Elementary School.  I have grown up in a Christian home and been going to King Street my whole life.  When I was 4 I remember that I was out shopping with my Mom and got upset with not getting something I wanted so badly.  My Mom had a conversation with me at lunch time about how we need to ask God for patience and understanding in situations like that.  I then realized how much I needed Jesus in my life and wanted to pray and ask Him to be my Lord and Savior and to live in my heart.  Every day I continue to grow more in my relationship with Him.  Today I want to get baptized to show the world that Jesus is my Lord and Savior forever.

Michael Carmack

My name is Michael Carmack. I am 13 years old. I have been coming to this church my whole life. I have had so many great Sunday School teachers and Bible school teachers that have laid the foundation for my decision to follow Christ.

I have great support from my family and friends. Last year I got to attend a Christian camp where they asked if anyone wanted to accept Jesus in their heart and I said yes. I believed I was saved but I just kept doing what I always did and was doing okay.

This year I watched several baptisms and started asking questions. That is when my family asked if I knew what it meant to be baptized and why they did that. I listened and told them I wanted to do that. It became really real for me when I was at school and had to do PSSA tests. I was nervous and I remembered that they told me God is with me always even when I’m scared, nervous, or worried. I prayed for God to help me with the test at school and he did. I was told I did a good job on the test. Wow!

I am getting baptized today because I want everyone to know I follow Jesus.

Myla Keller

When I realized that I needed Jesus I was in church and Pastor Rob was talking about how we can never be perfect but we can take one step of faith to get closer to God and show other people that we are children of God.  When I committed my life to Jesus I was hoping that I would get out of my bad habits and show God’s love.  I thought this would be easy, but I am learning that even though God is in my heart I still struggle.  My life after I met Christ didn’t feel very different.  Sometimes I feel myself growing away from God, and time at church helps me reconnect with Him.  And that is why I want to take this one step of faith.

Brielle Keller

My name is Brielle and I am in 3rd grade.  When I realized I needed Jesus I was at church and my teacher was talking about asking God into your heart.  I realized how much I need God.  So when I got home I went to my room and prayed.  I also talked to my parents.  When I saw some of my friends getting baptized it made me want to.  I want to show everyone how much I love God and that I am a Christian.  And that God does wonderful things to help you.  I trusted Jesus to help me with things that I struggle with like temptations and troubles.  My life has been great ever since I asked God into my heart.

Kylaya Martin

My name is Kylaya. I am 12 years old and go to Cumberland Valley Christian School. I accepted God as my Lord and savior when I was 6. I want to get baptized today to follow God to the best of my abilities. My mom told me how she got saved and taught me all about God and how to get saved. I want to teach people, Jesus died for us on the cross and loves me and took away all my sins and cleansed my heart.

Gibson Ott

My name is Gibson Ott. I am in 7th grade and I attend school at Shalom Christian Academy. I was born into Christianity, but I didn’t know who the Lord was back then. Back in the summer of 2021 my family and I drove to Montana. On the first day of driving, I didn’t know that my life would change permanently. Later that night we arrived at our hotel room. My family and I were in the elevator going to our room, and as soon as I walked out of the elevator I felt a burst of severe anxiety. I had a major panic attack that night. And the anxiety continued for the rest of our vacation. I still struggle with anxiety today, but I put my trust in the Lord. I want to get baptized because I want to show everyone that I am a believer and that I put my trust in the Lord.

Nathan Armstrong

My name is Nathan Armstrong, and I am in the 7th grade at Shalom Christian Academy.  Just this past year Christ has entered my life.  I have chosen to get baptized because I just had a feeling the first night, I came to King Street Youth Group.  Rob was talking about accepting God as your Lord and Savior.  I want to get baptized today to announce my faith in Jesus Christ.

Hannah Grace Kaiser

Hello, my name is Hannah Grace. I grew up as a pastor’s kid and accepted Christ at a young age. I was about 6 or 7 and then I grew up. I am very thankful for godly parents who gave me such a firm foundation with attending a Christian school and being in church.

I became somewhat rebellious but never wandered too far from the faith but had enough turmoil in my life to be angry with God. Though He NEVER left me or walked away, I know that in my young adult years, I was not very strong in my faith or lived my life in a way that was pleasing to the Lord.

In my earlier thirties I became much closer to the Lord due to certain events that occurred; I cried out to the Lord for help and comfort and hope.

The Lord healed me from some very traumatic ordeals and strengthened my faith. I am choosing to get baptized again as a declaration of my faith in the Lord.

It is an act of obedience and worship to the Lord who has forgiven me and like the song, Amazing Grace, it reflects my love and dedication to the Lord.

I am thankful for godly parents and my mother’s prayers and love. I am also deeply grateful that the Lord has blessed me with a Godly husband who loves the Lord with every ounce of his heart.
Today I am getting baptized to make a public declaration of my faith.
