It’s Shoebox Time!

We are so excited to announce that we will offer shoeboxes in the lobbies NOW for you to claim on behalf of a child in need across the globe.  The packed boxes are due back on Sunday, November 17.

Since 1993, more than 168 million Operation Christmas Child gift-filled shoeboxes have been distributed to children in more than 160 countries and territories.  Last year more than 10 million boxes were distributed… and King Street Church contributed just about 2,000 boxes to that total!

It’s critical to note that OCC is not just about giving gifts to children — it is also a POWERFUL tool for carrying the Gospel into the most remote parts of the world!

Each shoebox contains a Gospel booklet in the child’s language.  With the Apostle John as narrator, the booklet shares 11 Scripture stories and invites children to follow Christ.  Many local churches around the world follow up by offering “The Greatest Journey,” a 12-lesson discipleship program.
