Below are the testimonies for baptismal candidates for Sunday, April 26, 2026. We celebrate with them as they take this step in their journey with Christ.

Galia Grimes

I want to get baptized because I want people to know that I follow Jesus. I knew I needed Jesus when I had bad dreams and was scared and when I needed forgiveness and help obeying mommy. I am thankful that Jesus loves me and forgives me.

My favorite verse is Luke 1:13 where it says, “Do not be afraid”… “your prayer has been heard.”

 

Kendall Altland

Hi I am Kendall Altland. I am ten years old and I  go to Hamilton  Heights Elementary School.The reason I want to get  baptized is because I have thought about it for 2 years and hadn’t told anyone. This year I have made the best decision by telling my mom! When I was turning six years old, I  decided I wanted to live a life with Jesus in my heart. It all began at Camp Joy El!  When I returned home, my mom and I were sitting outside and she guided me through asking Jesus into my heart!!

 

Jordan Althoff

Hello, I’m Jordan Althoff and here is my testimony.

When I was in 6th grade, I was struggling in my faith and knowing what is and isn’t true, so I pushed it all away. I came to youth group, but really only to hang out with friends. I went to Rhodes Grove Camp, and it answered almost all of my questions. As I became more serious about my faith, I joined the youth worship team, and my faith was the strongest as it’s ever been. Ever since joining the worship team, I’ve been able to help other people learn about Jesus. There are still sometimes I have some questions about what is and isn’t true about Jesus, but that is very rare. I want to get baptized to show that I am strong in my faith in Jesus.
