LYDIA

“Before I asked Jesus into my heart I went through hard things and Jesus was watching me but He wasn’t beside me holding my hand but now that I have Jesus into my heart when I face challenges Jesus is always beside me holding my hand. And I’m here today to show that I’m a believer and a child of Jesus Christ.”

TYLER

“I know that Jesus died on the cross and will always be by my side when I need Him. I want to be baptized today because I want to show my family and friends that I believe in God.”

ASHER

“When I was 5 or 6 I began to have very scary thoughts. I would talk to my parents about them and they would encourage me with God’s Word. My anxiety about the unknown started to lessen. That’s when I decided to go public with my faith. I want to be baptized because God is my Lord and Savior and He died on the cross for me.”

JORDAN

“I had experienced a lot of depression and suicidal thoughts… One of my classmates had sent out an email message saying that InterVarsity Christian Fellowship was going to be hosting Bible studies every week and at that point in my life I was searching for a relationship with God so I decided to go… Looking back I realized that was the light in my darkness. It made me realize how much I needed Jesus… I woke up one morning and I could just feel the Holy Spirit inside of me. All I could feel was peace and joy.”

LAUREN

“I grew up knowing Jesus but not really having a relationship with Him… I knew that I was supposed to love Jesus, but I really thought that I had to be good and I had to do everything right in order to get to heaven, for a long time in my childhood. And I was really confused whenever I couldn’t do that… [At Awana] this lady was giving a message to us… but I remember her really clearly saying that in order to get to heaven we don’t need to be good, we just have to have a relationship with Jesus and we have to surrender our lives to Him and I just remember being so shocked and so relieved and it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. And finally I really understood what it meant to follow Jesus. And that is when I accepted Christ.”

LUKE

“Near the end of high school, one of the nearest and dearest friends in our friend group and perhaps the most God loving God embodying person I’d ever met in my life tragically passed away from injuries she sustained in a car accident. And that was a real shifting moment in my life. I said, you know what, I need a spiritual change… I came to accept Christ and bring Christ back into my life and to engage in Bible studies and engage in His Word.”

NOAH

“I accepted Christ when I was in elementary school as my Savior and throughout middle school and high school I ended up straying a little bit from his path and doing my own thing. It wasn’t until I reached college and took a Bible studies course that I really was able to reconnect my faith and rededicate my life to Christ.”

PAM

“Through my support group, through Sunday worship, through adult SS, through Bible studies here at King Street, and the friends that I made who lovingly shared their faith with me, I was able to ask God to forgive my sins, and for Jesus to enter my heart… Since coming here, and knowing Jesus, I found a new hope and peace in my life. Jesus is helping me to come to him every day and hand control over to Him…One of the darkest times in my life has turned into a blessing in finding a new life in Jesus Christ.”

SYDNEY

“When I got saved, it was 2017 at Good News Camp. I remember asking God to forgive my sins. Now that I’m older I really want to dedicate my life to Him and make Him my first priority… Now I know that I have someone to talk to even when I don’t think I have anybody… I want to get baptized today because I want to publicly share that I’m a dedicated follower of Christ.”
