Join us for an intergenerational church trip to the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, on Saturday, March 21. Individuals and families are invited to travel together by Bollman bus and spend the day exploring one of the nation’s most engaging faith-based museums.
Here are some details to keep in mind:
-
COST: $25 for adults, $15 for students, and a $75 maximum per family. In the form below, when you add the number of adults and students, if you exceed $75, the form will automatically offer you the family rate of $75.
Please enter your TOTAL TICKET number first as this determines our count. -
WHO IT’S BEST FOR: The Museum of the Bible is especially well-suited for upper elementary through high school students, and adults, as many of the exhibits involve reading, reflection, and interactive technology. Younger children are welcome, but parents should be aware that some content may be less engaging for very young kids.
-
SCHEDULE: We will depart the Baker Center parking lot at 7:00 am, arriving at the Museum when it opens at 9:00. We will need to depart from the Museum promptly at 3:15 pm, with an anticipated arrival time back to KSC at 6:00 pm.
-
FOOD: Lunch is on your own. There are two on-site restaurants, and additional restaurants/food trucks within walking distance.
-
PLEASE NOTE: Space for this trip is very limited. To best serve our congregation, this outing is reserved for those who participate in Sunday morning worship as our King Street Church family. If there is sufficient interest, we hope to explore the possibility of offering a larger, expanded trip in the future.
- SCHOLARSHIPS: If the cost is prohibitive, financial scholarships are available. Please email Marsha Spangler at [email protected].
Museum of the Bible invites all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible. From their website: “The Bible is more than a book—it’s a conversation that continues to shape our world. Go beyond the pages. Explore the Bible’s stories, history, and influence with a fresh perspective. Every exhibit invites you to ask questions, make connections, and discover something new about the world—and yourself.” Visit Museum of the Bible
