Judgment: When Wrong Meets Right

These questions are an invitation to experience your life with God. Use them on your own or in community as you seek to follow Jesus.

1. God’s judgment gives us both confidence and humility. When you think of God’s judgment, do you need more confidence or more humility?
2. God’s final judgment does not simply make the most of a bad situation, but sets things right. Sometimes we cannot imagine what “setting things right” looks like. Is there a situation in your life over which you’ve given up hope? How does God’s final judgment either help you to stay faithful in the present day or give you hope for the day to come?
3. We need not wait for the final judgment to have God’s judgment set things right. When we respond to the convicting grace of God, we are submitting to God’s judgment. Is God convicting you of any wrong you’re doing or any right you’re leaving undone? How can you “turn” from wrong and be “tuned” in to God?
