On Thursday, March 28, you are invited to join us for a Maundy Thursday Communion Service at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary. The service will feature Scripture, a responsive reading, prayer, and the sharing of elements.

The word “maundy” is an abbreviated form of the Latin word “mandatum,” which means command, or mandate.  When Jesus was sharing the Last Supper with His disciples He told them, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”  (John 13:34)

We celebrate Maundy Thursday to remember the Last Supper, to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus, and to meditate on this commandment to love and serve others.
