On Thursday, April 2, you are invited to join us for a Maundy Thursday Service at 6:00 pm in the Baker Center. We plan to gather around round tables for a special time of communion.

The word “maundy” is an abbreviated form of the Latin word “mandatum,” which means command, or mandate.  When Jesus was sharing the Last Supper with His disciples He told them, “A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”  (John 13:34)  We celebrate Maundy Thursday to remember the Last Supper, to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus, and to meditate on this commandment to love and serve others.
