Good Friday: Stations of the Cross

April 18, 2025|12:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Friday, April 18, is our “Way of the Cross” Contemplative Experience. The purpose of this event is to allow us a window into what Christ suffered on Good Friday through eight unique stations.  The stations are designed to help us better understand the depth of Christ’s sacrifice. Then when we celebrate His resurrection on Sunday, we can be filled, more authentically, with joy and relief that He triumphed over death.

Here are some key details:

  • Come anytime from 12-8 pm and plan to stay for at least 45 minutes, but longer if you wish.
  • Enter through the Baker Center entrance, and head downstairs.
  • The experience is predominantly self-guided, and is geared toward silent reflection and individual encounters.
  • We will provide a booklet for you to use at each station.
  • Pastor Rob Gunkelman and Lay Leader Jean Ellis will both be available during the day to answer questions and to pray with you.
  • The event is best suited to teenagers and adults. Children are welcome but we ask that parents travel intentionally through the stations with their kids, helping them to respect the tone and understand what is happening.
