WELCOME!
The Porch is the young adult ministry at King Street Church. We welcome all young adults to get connected, even if you’re not an attender of King Street Church. We come from different backgrounds and life experiences, but what we share is a desire to build authentic community and grow in our faith and affection for Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:1-11).
GATHERINGS
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month in the Student Ministry Center from 7-9PM; enter through the Baker Center lobby (Door #4 and go down the stairs). At these gatherings, we seek to build relationships, share life together, and gain practical and applicable insight from God’s Word to apply to our lives.
COMMUNITY
Small Groups
We also have opportunities to build deeper community in gender-specific discipleship groups on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. In addition to community, the main focus of these groups is to dig into God’s Word and study other Biblical-centered books & devotionals that will help us to become more equipped disciples of Jesus Christ! Large Gatherings
We gather together on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month in the Student Ministry Center at 7pm for worship, teaching, and discussion.
This semester, we will be studying the book of Jude together.
Teachings will be based off of Jude: Contending for the Faith in a Rebellious Culture by Eric Geiger from Right Now Media.
Small Groups
Girls Group will be studying It’s All Under Control by Jennifer Duke Lee. Books can be purchased for less than $10 on Amazon. Girls study will go from September 11-December 11 (excluding Thanksgiving & Christmas).
Guys Group will be working through Practicing the Way video series by John Mark Comer. Guys have the option of purchasing the book, but don’t have to (we have extra copies…so please let the leaders know if you’d like one)! Guys study will go from September 11- January 22 (excluding Thanksgiving & Christmas).

Sabbath Week
The Porch takes a Sabbath rest week on the 5th Thursdays. We will not have any activities on October 30th. Large gatherings will resume again on November 6th.
Hike Day
We will be heading to Caledonia State Park on Sunday, November 9th for a hike!
Meet at the park at 11am for lunch together. Then we will hike around 12.
Please contact Brooke or Colin Stouffer if you plan to go so they can get a head count for pizza!.
