The Student Ministry exists to engage and bless students and their families in our community with the Gospel. We do this by helping students (grades 6-12) connect with Christ and each other, grow in Christ, and serve and share Christ. The students meet regularly and enjoy special events together.
Indoor Rock Climbing Trip
The students are going to Rockville, MD to climb at Movement Gym on Thursday, August 14. We will leave the Baker Center parking lot at 12:30 pm and return at 8 pm. Cost for climbing is $35, plus bring money for dinner on the way home. This trip is only available for the first 25 students! Don’t miss out!
New Student Open House
Come and see what Student Ministry is all about! We will hold an Open House for incoming 6th graders, new students, and their parents on Sunday, August 17 at 11 am in the Student Ministry Center (downstairs in the Baker Center wing).
Ignite Student Festival
Friday-Sunday, August 22-24
(Friday & Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 5-7 pm)
Our Student Ministry Team is partnering with other local church youth ministries to host Ignite!, an event designed to empower our students to impact their circles of influence with the Gospel of Jesus. We’ll meet at the park owned by Otterbein Church in Waynesboro; there will be music, teaching and food trucks!
Wednesday Night Fall Kickoff
Wednesday nights are back on SEPTEMBER 3! We’re so excited to welcome back students in grades 6-12 for a new school year in Student Ministry. Our doors open at 6 pm for open gym. Food is served at 6:30 and our program runs from 6:45-8:30. Students will worship together, hear Biblical teaching that is practical for the lives of teenagers, spend time in small groups, and play games together.

Our team is made up of adults from King Street Church who love God and love students. Each member of our Volunteer Team has received background clearances, and had an interview with the student ministry pastors.
