There are many important principles involved in spiritual growth, and two key ones are studying the Scriptures, and receiving encouragement and wisdom from other believers.
Studying the Scriptures:
We grow stronger by diligently increasing our knowledge of God’s Word and applying it to our lives.
Joshua 1:8 – Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Spending Time with Believers:
The purpose of our fellowship is to build each other up in the Lord, to encourage one another, to be accountable in our lives, to share prayer requests, to receive godly counsel, and to be challenged when the need arises.
Hebrews 10:14-25 – And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We encourage you to explore the variety of options we offer in the menu at the right—classes, studies, activities for all ages, and much more—to see where you might “plug in” and grow in the Lord through Bible study and godly fellowship.
