SPECIAL SIMULCAST EVENT: EMPOWERED TO CONNECT
Friday – Saturday, April 5-6, 10 am – 6 pm in the Baker Center: This conference, hosted by Show Hope, offers practical teaching designed to equip families, churches and professionals to better serve children who come from hard places. Second Thursday of the month from 12:10-12:50 pm at the Coyle Free Library Rooftop Conservatory: This new outreach ministry is an invitational lunch for those working in downtown Chambersburg or nearby. This monthly lunch is designed so that members of our church family can bring others to a lighthearted, no-pressure discussion based on Biblical principles. Guests will enjoy lunch together, meet Pastor Jody, and engage in a talk about faith in Christ, salvation and the Christian life. Bring your own lunch or request a $5 box lunch by emailing Molly by noon the Monday before.
FIT FOR A KING EXERCISE PROGRAM
Mondays/Fridays, 9:00 am in the Student Ministry Center: Does your New Year’s resolution involve exercise, getting in shape, weight loss, or fellowship with others? Then consider joining “Fit for a King,” the free exercise class led by Lance Walker. The class is for men and women at all fitness levels, and includes a combination of strength training, resistance, toning and cardio, plus prayer and fellowship.
NIGHT TO SHINE IS COMING!
Friday, February 8, 2019: Night to Shine is a prom-style event for our friends with special needs. We are partnering with Antrim Brethren in Christ Church to host the event at their facility this year. Sign up to volunteer HERE. In each lobby, you can find a prayer guide with specific ways to pray each day. Also, we are accepting donations to help off-set the expenses. Make checks payable to King Street Church but please note “Night to Shine” in the memo line.
Each Monday at 6:30 pm in the Student Ministry Center: Celebrate Recovery is a weekly, Christ-centered healing and recovery ministry for anyone with a hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. It is our hope that within the safety of CR, we can take our masks off, be real with one another, and discover restorative community. For more information, pick up an invite card or flyer in the lobbies or click HERE.
NOT GOING TO BE HERE ON SUNDAY?
We will miss seeing you in person, but you can still stay connected by watching worship services live at kingstreetchurch.com/livestream or on our Facebook page. For those with a Roku or Apple TV device, we now have our own apps.
BIBLE READING PLAN
In coordination with our new series for 2019, we will be reading through the Bible together as a church family. Each day there will be a short reading from the Old and New Testaments, as well as a Psalm or Proverb. The online version also contains questions specifically regarding that day’s readings. You are invited to log-in to your own account and answer the questions (only you see your responses). To connect with the questions, follow the link HERE and begin to type in one of the answer boxes to activate the log-in prompt. Those already signed up for daily emails will continue to receive them. Learn more, sign up or study at 2019.kingstreetchurch.com.
RESERVED PARKING: SINGLE PARENTS
If you are a single parent with small children, we invite you to use one of the four designated parking spaces in the Baker Center lot that are reserved for your convenience.
RIGHT NOW MEDIA
KSC has a subscription to Right Now Media, which is sometimes called “The Christian Netflix.” It offers thousands of hours of free Bible studies and videos from teachers such as Francis Chan, Max Lucado, Chip Ingram and Andy Stanley. There is also a section for kids. Many Bible studies and classes here at KSC are already using it. We believe this free resource can be a vital tool for growth in your Christian life. If you haven’t received an invitation in your email inbox, email email@example.com.
