THANKS & PRAISE SERVICE

Sunday, November 19, 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary: Let’s celebrate God’s goodness to us with a spirit of humility and gratefulness! Come for an afternoon of special music, worship, prayer and reflection as we enter the Thanksgiving season. The King Street Choir and Kids’ Choir will sing and we’ll enjoy a wide variety of classical instruments, including handbells, strings, a harp, organ and piano! Our Pastor Emeritus, Reverend Paul Baker, will share a short meditation. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Salvation Army.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE

Sunday, November 19:  Help us feed hungry people in our community! Place non-perishable food items on the tables in the Rotz or Baker Center lobbies. The food will go to the Salvation Army for their holiday distribution. You can also make a financial gift; mark your envelope for Thanksgiving Food Drive.

COLLECT TOILETRIES

Once More Toiletry Bank is an outreach ministry of KSC. During November, you can help by purchasing toiletries and placing them in the large bins in the lobbies. We especially need: razors, paper towels, feminine products, laundry soap and deodorant. Items will be distributed to those in need on Dec 9.

FAMILY CHRISTMAS EVENT

Wednesday, November 29, 7:00 pm, Baker Center: The Children’s Ministry invites KSC families  – whose children participate in our preschool and elementary programs – to attend the annual Christmas party! Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Click HERE to learn more and to sign up. Registration closes November 26.

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS

Sunday, December 3, 3:00-5:00 pm in the Fellowship Room: The prospect of facing the holidays without your loved one can be very difficult. At this GriefShare event, you can connect with others and find advice, support and encouragement. Registration is helpful but not required; call the church office at 717-264-4651. You don’t have to face this difficult time on your own.

POINSETTIA DEDICATIONS

Monday, December 4 is the deadline to dedicate a Christmas poinsettia in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Cost is $8.50; forms are located in the lobbies or you can call the church office. Orders from last year are not automatically included.

CHRISTMAS WORSHIP EVENT

Sunday, December 10 at 4:00 and 6:00 pm in the Baker Center:  This year’s worship event will be hosted by a multi-generational worship choir and worship band. Pastor Jody will share a message; light and video elements will help to create a multi-media experience as we rediscover the wonder of Christ’s coming to earth!

RESERVED PARKING: SINGLE PARENTS

If you are a single parent with small children, we invite you to use one of the four designated parking spaces in the Baker Center lot that are reserved for your convenience.

RIGHT NOW MEDIA

KSC has a subscription to Right Now Media, which is sometimes called “The Christian Netflix.”  It offers thousands of hours of free Bible studies and videos from teachers such as Francis Chan, Max Lucado, Chip Ingram and Andy Stanley.  There is also a section for kids.  Many Bible studies and classes here at KSC are already using it.  We believe this free resource can be a vital tool for growth in your Christian life.  If you haven’t received an invitation in your email inbox, email sallen@kschurch.org.
