BLESS WEEK

Don’t miss out on the MANY opportunities to bless others during this special week of church-wide service to local ministries and organizations. The week will finish with a big celebration as we host our free Bless Fest for our neighbors. There’s a way for everyone to serve — regardless of age or skills! See all the opportunities and sign up HERE.

SHIPWRECKED: RESCUED BY JESUS

Vacation Bible School, June 24-27 (Sunday – Wednesday), 6:30-8:45pm: This year, we will teach preschool and elementary kids that Jesus carries them through life’s storms.

  • Don’t miss out on this opportunity to impact a child’s life; partner with us as a crew leader for a small group of kids. Details and sign-up info can be found HERE.

  • Another way to help is to purchase snack or missions items for our week. This year, in addition to the snack items, we are asking for school supplies for the school we support in Arcahaie, Haiti. Pick a card (or a few cards…) from the VBS displays in the lobbies and return your items to the lobby/church office by Tuesday, June 19.
  • Need to register a child for VBS? You can do so at the VBS tables or online HERE.

PATRIOTIC MUSICAL EVENT

Sunday, July 1, at 3:00 pm in the Sanctuary:  This special service will include some of your favorite hymns honoring God and country. It will feature the KSC choir presenting “A Salute to Our Armed Services,” a brief meditation from Pastor Steve Flint, and the “Stars and Stripes” piano quartet. A freewill offering will be received to benefit the organ fund. If you can help serve as an usher or offering-collector at this event, please contact Dixie Cantrell

UB WOMEN’S CONFERENCE

September 28-30 (Friday – Sunday), Toledo, Ohio: Registration is now open for the 2018 Women’s Conference for the United Brethren in Christ churches. Author Carey Scott will speak on “God’s Promise of Restoration,” exploring the deep restoration that only God can give. Visit ub.org/women/womens-conference to learn more/register.

BIBLE READING PLAN

In coordination with our new series for 2018, “Life in His Name,” we will be reading through the New Testament together as a church family. Each day there are directives that will lead you in a deeper study experience, such as “Identify one fact that stood out to you today in the reading.” You are invited to log-in to your own account and answer the questions. To connect with the questions, follow the link HERE and begin to type in one of the answer boxes to activate the log-in prompt. Those already signed up for daily emails will continue to receive them. Learn more, sign up or study at 2018.kingstreetchurch.com.

RESERVED PARKING: SINGLE PARENTS

If you are a single parent with small children, we invite you to use one of the four designated parking spaces in the Baker Center lot that are reserved for your convenience.

RIGHT NOW MEDIA

KSC has a subscription to Right Now Media, which is sometimes called “The Christian Netflix.”  It offers thousands of hours of free Bible studies and videos from teachers such as Francis Chan, Max Lucado, Chip Ingram and Andy Stanley.  There is also a section for kids.  Many Bible studies and classes here at KSC are already using it.  We believe this free resource can be a vital tool for growth in your Christian life.  If you haven’t received an invitation in your email inbox, email sallen@kschurch.org.
