DESCRIPTION:The Porch is the young adult ministry at King Street Church. We welcome all young adults to get connected\, even if you’re not an attender of King Street Church. We come from different backgrounds and life stages\, but what we share is a desire to build authentic community and grow in our faith and affection for Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:1-11). \nOur large group gatherings take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month in the Student Ministry Center from 7-9PM; enter through the Baker Center lobby (Door #4 and go down the stairs). At these gatherings\, we seek to build relationships\, share life together\, and gain practical and applicable insight from God’s Word to apply to our lives. \nOn the 2nd and 4th Thursdays\, we have opportunities to build deeper community in gender-specific discipleship groups. In addition to community\, the main focus of these groups is to dig into God’s Word and study other Biblical-centered books & devotionals that will help us to become more equipped disciples of Jesus Christ! SUMMARY:The Porch - Young Adults
DESCRIPTION:The Porch is the young adult ministry at King Street Church. We welcome all young adults to get connected\, even if you’re not an attender of King Street Church. We come from different backgrounds and life stages\, but what we share is a desire to build authentic community and grow in our faith and affection for Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:1-11). \nOur large group gatherings take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month in the Student Ministry Center from 7-9PM; enter through the Baker Center lobby (Door #4 and go down the stairs). At these gatherings\, we seek to build relationships\, share life together\, and gain practical and applicable insight from God’s Word to apply to our lives. \nOn the 2nd and 4th Thursdays\, we have opportunities to build deeper community in gender-specific discipleship groups. In addition to community\, the main focus of these groups is to dig into God’s Word and study other Biblical-centered books & devotionals that will help us to become more equipped disciples of Jesus Christ! DESCRIPTION:This year\, instead of an outdoor service\, we will enjoy a Church Picnic on Sunday\, June 1 \, from 5-7:00 pm at Greene Township Park.  Please join us for a special time of fellowship with Senior Pastor Aaron Perry and his family on his first Sunday formally on-staff! \nWe have reserved all of the pavilions\, but you may wish to bring chairs for more seating options. A picnic meal will be provided by Rosenberry’s Catering (hamburgers\, hot dogs\, potato and macaroni salads\, chips and fruit) and dessert will be Rita’s Italian Ices. Bottled water will be provided; feel free to bring other beverage options for your family. \nTo help us plan\, please sign up HERE by Thursday\, May 15. \n\nDonations to offset the cost of the picnic: Suggested donation is $7/person ($25 max per family).
