DESCRIPTION:The Porch is the young adult ministry at King Street Church. We welcome all young adults to get connected\, even if you’re not an attender of King Street Church. We come from different backgrounds and life stages\, but what we share is a desire to build authentic community and grow in our faith and affection for Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:1-11). \nOur large group gatherings take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month in the Student Ministry Center from 7-9 PM; enter through the Baker Center lobby (Door #4 and go down the stairs). At these gatherings\, we seek to build relationships\, share life together\, and gain practical and applicable insight from God’s Word to apply to our lives. \nOn the 2nd and 4th Thursdays\, we have opportunities to build deeper community in gender-specific discipleship groups. In addition to community\, the main focus of these groups is to dig into God’s Word and study other Biblical-centered books & devotionals that will help us to become more equipped disciples of Jesus Christ! DESCRIPTION:Join us for an intergenerational church trip to the Museum of the Bible in Washington\, DC\, on Saturday\, March 21. Individuals and families are invited to travel together by Bollman bus and spend the day exploring one of the nation’s most engaging faith-based museums.  Here are some details to keep in mind: \n\n\nCOST: $25 for adults\, $15 for students\, and a $75 maximum per family.  In the form below\, when you add the number of adults and students\, if you exceed $75\, the form will automatically offer you the family rate of $75. \n\n\nWHO IT’S BEST FOR: The Museum of the Bible is especially well-suited for upper elementary through high school students\, and adults\, as many of the exhibits involve reading\, reflection\, and interactive technology. Younger children are welcome\, but parents should be aware that some content may be less engaging for very young kids. \n\n\nFOOD:  Lunch is on your own.  There are two on-site restaurants\, and additional restaurants/food trucks within walking distance. \n\nPLEASE NOTE:  Space for this trip is very limited. To best serve our congregation\, this outing is reserved for those who participate in Sunday morning worship as our King Street Church family.
