SUMMARY:The Porch - Young Adults
DESCRIPTION:The Porch is the young adult ministry at King Street Church. We welcome all young adults to get connected\, even if you’re not an attender of King Street Church. We come from different backgrounds and life stages\, but what we share is a desire to build authentic community and grow in our faith and affection for Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:1-11). \nOur large group gatherings take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month in the Student Ministry Center from 7-9 PM; enter through the Baker Center lobby (Door #4 and go down the stairs). At these gatherings\, we seek to build relationships\, share life together\, and gain practical and applicable insight from God’s Word to apply to our lives. \nOn the 2nd and 4th Thursdays\, we have opportunities to build deeper community in gender-specific discipleship groups. In addition to community\, the main focus of these groups is to dig into God’s Word and study other Biblical-centered books & devotionals that will help us to become more equipped disciples of Jesus Christ! The group meeting locations can change\, so if you are interested in joining a group: contact us. \nWe will hold activities throughout the year that are great opportunities to build community and sharpen our focus to seeing God’s Kingdom purpose accomplished in our lives. \nFind us on Facebook to get more details on what’s coming up or visit our webpage!

RESET offers a safe place to tear down the obstacles that keep us from abundant life in Christ\, and to find community for that journey.  \n\n6:00 pm: Light meal and community.\n6:30 pm: Large Group: worship\, prayer\, and either a testimony or a message.\n7:00 pm: Support Groups for men and women. We find that a closeness often grows around the time of confidential sharing.\n\n
