Wednesday night classes offer the chance to grow in your faith while making friends and developing deeper connections.
We hold a winter/spring session from January to May, and
a fall session from September to December. Scroll down to register.
Here are the Winter/Spring 2019 classes:
MARRIAGE FOCUS GROUP: “Sacred Marriage”: Kevin & Lisa Moore/Justin & Denise Sites (B201) Happy is good. Holy is better. Your marriage is more than a sacred covenant with another person. It is a spiritual discipline designed to help you know God better, trust him more fully, and love him more deeply. What if God’s primary intent for your marriage isn’t to make you happy . . . but holy?
WOMEN’S CLASS: “Intriguing Women of the Bible”: Patti Hann (M2) Every woman sitting in a church pew today is dealing with “something,” be it good, bad, frustrating or even tragic. We will learn wisdom and help from women of the Bible who dealt with these same kinds of issues.
WOMEN’S CLASS: “Why Her?”: Stephanie White (M28) Do you enviously watch others enjoy the things you’ve always wanted for yourself? In Why Her?, Koziarz unpacks the biblical story of Rachel and Leah along with her own experiences with failed dreams, dashed hopes, and paralyzing comparisons. She shares six biblical truths that can settle you in a satisfying place where God’s acceptance of you is all that matters.
GRIEF SHARE (Starting February 6): Brian Knepper and Kathy Cooper (M121) This 13 week faith-based support group is for those suffering the loss of a loved one. It is led by those who have also experienced loss. The group begins their time of sharing and discussion with a video.
MEN’S CLASS: “Teach Us How to Pray” (M27/29) This 7-week study (beginning March 20) will focus on the Lord’s Prayer. Each phrase from this prayer has divine direction that connects us to our Heavenly Father and allows the Holy Spirit to shape us to His will and image. We will learn that Jesus is far more interested in our hearts when we pray, than in the words we use. Each session includes a DVD lesson and group discussion.
JOURNEY THROUGH THE BIBLE: This course (formerly Discipleship) is a four part study designed to assist believers in their understanding of the Bible and apply Biblical truth in ministry and evangelism. The Spring sessions are continuations from the fall and are closed to new participants, but please plan on joining us for the new sessions in the fall.
Part 2: Old Testament—Prophets: Tim Sherald (M24): This section focuses on OT books Job through Malachi, studying those who spoke of the coming Messiah.
Part 4: New Testament—Church: Jim Washabaugh (M9): This section focuses on NT books Acts through Revelation, studying the Christian Church.
POTTERY (led by Don & Mary Burkholder): This class is full for the spring 2019 seasons. Those who are already on Don and Mary’s list are encouraged to attend, of course. Those wishing to be included in the fall can sign up for the waiting list. Participants learn hand-building techniques and throwing on the potter’s wheel. Cost is $20.
