Waiting for the King!
We wait in line. We wait for the next payday. For the test results to hit the portal. For repairs to be completed. For the three blinking dots to manifest a text. Sometimes there are entire seasons of waiting, times when God seems quiet. We wait—and hope—for good things to happen. For God’s intervention. To see God answer our prayers and move in our lives.
Not all waiting is bad. As the body of Christ, we wait for our Savior. Advent is here, and so we are called to a beautiful season of anticipating the arrival of Jesus. We are looking forward to a variety of events that will help us to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We hope you will join us.
Sunday, December 8
Join us for a musical celebration on Sunday, December 8, at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary. Our Christmas Concert will feature popular songs performed by our Adult Choir, duets, a solo, small ensembles, and the Kids’ Bell Choir. We invite you to watch in-person in the Sanctuary or online at kingstreetchurch.tv, Facebook, YouTube, Roku/Apple TV. If your family is signed up for “A Night in Bethlehem” (the event is full), it begins at 5:15 pm in the Baker Center.

Christmas Eve services will be held on Tuesday, December 24:
- Sanctuary: 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00 pm – traditional worship

Order deadline: Monday, December 16
One of our cherished traditions here at King Street Church is to dedicate a Christmas poinsettia in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Beginning December 1, you can pick up a form in the lobby, sign up at the church office at 56 N. Second Street, or order and pay online here. The cost is $10.50 for a 6-inch plant.
You may take your poinsettia after the Christmas Eve service or pick up in the Baker Lobby on Sunday, December 29. Booklets listing all of the dedications will be made available in the lobbies and online (through the Digital Worship Folder on The Hub) on December 22.
Sunday, December 29
On the Sunday after Christmas, all of our worship services — at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 am — will be held in the Sanctuary. We look forward to gathering in this special way over
the holiday weekend.
Wednesday, December 18
Our friends at Country Creek are offering discount passes to King Street Church families so that we might gather together on Wednesday, December 18. In the lobbies (and at the church office) you will find passes that will allow your family to attend at the much lower rate of $6 per person. You will need a discount pass for each person who attends. We will provide donuts as supplies last. Come and enjoy time with your King Street friends!
Administrative Office Hours
The church Administrative Office and the church buildings will be closed:
- Wednesday and Thursday, December 25 and 26
